Find out how to wow the judges with your application for the Women's Recognition Awards 2025.
Nominations are now open for the Women’s Recognition Awards 2025!
Whether you’ve nominated yourself or been nominated by someone else, you will need to complete your supporting application before the judges can consider you for the shortlist. You have until 27th June to submit your application.
So how do you make sure your application is in with a shot at the shortlist, or even the trophy? Where do you start? How do you convey your impact and achievements in the best way possible? How does the process work?
We’ve narrowed it down to five simple steps and included a handy guide on how it all works for you to follow! Find out more below…
1. Write about what drives you
Whatever your role, the judges will want to know your story – starting with what drives you to always do your very best. This can apply to your passion for your everyday work or contributing to equity, diversity and inclusion in your business and the industry as a whole.
2. Collaboration is key
At the Women’s Recognition Awards, we believe that it’s our collective responsibility to fight for change together, so any examples you have of working with a team to deliver a project, or EDI-focussed achievements such as mentoring a colleague or leading a campaign, will help your application to stand out.
3. Overcoming obstacles
This year, our aim is to accelerate progress in light of the percentages that show us how much work we still need to do. Women across our industry still face so many challenges, and sharing stories about how you’ve overcome obstacles, however big or small you feel they might be, are so important and deserve to be heard.
4. Emphasise your impact
Your work will always impact those around you, so including some examples relating to your career in general or something you or your business have done to support EDI, will highlight to the judges how recognising your achievements on the big stage could help to inspire so many more people across the financial services community.
5. Back up your words
By using the upload form, you can attach PDFs and images to back up your application with more evidence. Including testimonials and statistics in the body of your application will also make your impact more tangible to the judges (and it’s also a great way to fight back against the negative statistics out there regarding female representation in our industry!)
How does the process work?
Nominations close on 20th June, so make sure to do that first if you haven’t already! After this, you’ll have an extra week to complete your application and send it in.
Once you’ve been nominated, you’ll receive an email confirming that you’ve started an application and will be sent a link to complete the process.
You can then add more information by clicking the link to come back to the website ( www.frwra.co.uk ) and give us all the details our judges will need to assess your entry straight away, or remember to do it at a later date – it’s up to you!
Once the deadline for applications has passed, our judges will carefully consider each one and will curate a shortlist of finalists in each of our categories.
This year’s finalists will be announced on 17th July via our website and LinkedIn. Our judges will then decide the winners, to be announced at our awards ceremony on 15th October at Exhibition White City in London!
